High Performance Cutting, Drilling and Welding of Micro Parts.
We are manufacturing high-end laser micromachining
systems for precision cutting, drilling and welding of complex
and intricate work pieces - applications found typically in
the medical device and aerospace/defence industries.
Years of R&D project cooperation with the Swiss Federal
Institute
of Technology (ETH) have resulted in unique know-how when
it comes to integrating micromachining equipment for industrial
applications: From state-of-the-art laser sources and laser
beam delivery systems to high precision motion systems, software
applications etc.

Applications and Manufacturing.
All machining systems are designed and built in Switzerland;
the platforms consist of modular
components which are configured according to individual application
requirements.
In the applications lab, 'Proof of Principle' samples are
produced; individual work samples are processed in Zurich
and Minneapolis (depending on application) for various materials:
aluminum |
ceramic |
platimun |
bronze |
copper |
ruby |
diamond |
brass |
sapphire |
high-grade steel |
molybdene |
silver |
gold |
nitinol |
tantal |
INOX |
silicon |

Swiss Tec: Breaking Barriers for the Manufacturing Industry.
In the early years of 'Swiss Tec Aktiengesellschaft',
the company founded in 2000 by Swiss entrepreneur Eduard
Fassbind, the focus was on the search for a new concept
of high-precision,
high-speed micro machining equipment
with little need for maintenance and supervision.
 |
After years
of develpoment and refining, the F20/30 and M10 models,
flatbed precision cutting and drilling machines, were
born.
A cooperation with the Machining Department of the 'Eidgenoessische
Technische Hochschule' (ETH), the Swiss Federal Institute
of Technology in Zurich, ensued.
|
In 2005, with the launch of the T13, the company began to write
orders on international scale. Today the company has a dozen
employees - mostly engineering and research positions - and
sales offices in Switzerland, U.K, China and the US.
